Unlike traditional systems that use lines to move the boat's main wheel or tiller, these models employ a servo-pendulum rudder to directly actuate an independent auxiliary rudder.

S 600

The South Atlantic S 600 is a robust servo-auxiliary self-steering system manufactured from high-quality aluminium alloy castings. It uses a servo-pendulum to actuate an independent auxiliary rudder through a stainless steel coupling rod designed for a simple connection. This configuration allows the servo-rudder to be folded upward while the auxiliary rudder remains submerged, providing direct steering without the need to connect lines to the boat's wheel or tiller.

Body materials - Seawater-resistant aluminium
Auxiliary module shafts: DUPLEX 2205 STEEL. The S 600 shaft is 40 mm in diameter and made of Super Duplex stainless steel, making it clearly superior: it bends half as much and withstands 40% more load before deforming. Its hollow design makes optimal use of the laws of physics to withstand bending moments with the lowest possible weight.
Bearings - We use maintenance-free slide bearings that operate smoothly. The need to replace bearings is virtually non-existent.
Bearing material: POM. POM (Polyacetal / Delrin), mechanically POM is far superior to PTFE for structural and load-bearing applications such as bushings, sleeves or rudder supports.
