The South Atlantic S 600 is a Servo-Auxiliary Steering System that utilizes advanced servo-driven technology to provide reliable offshore steering. Unlike traditional systems that use lines to pull the boat's main wheel or tiller, these models employ a servo-pendulum rudder to directly drive an independent auxiliary rudder.

By using this dedicated auxiliary rudder to steer the vessel, the system operates as a completely independent unit. This mechanical design ensures high power and precision without adding any friction or load to your boat's primary steering setup.

S 600

The South Atlantic S 600 is a robust servo-auxiliary self-steering system built from high-grade aluminum-alloy castings. It uses a servo-pendulum to drive an independent auxiliary rudder via a stainless steel linkage rod that is designed for easy engagement. This configuration allows the servo-rudder to be folded up while the auxiliary rudder remains submerged, providing direct steering without the need for lines connected to the boat's wheel or tiller.

Bearings - We use sliding bearings that require no maintenance and operate smoothly. The need for replacement bearings is almost non-existent.
Strength and Durability - South Atlantic uses a 100% seawater-resistant alloy. A lifetime guarantee is provided against material defects in the aluminium.

The length of the air vane mast, pendulum shaft, and tiller arm can be customized to fit each individual boat.
